Register for the Forum for Information Professionals

Each year, the graduate students of the University of Alberta's School of Library and Information Studies host a Forum for Information Professionals for the benefit of the library community. As an annual event, the Forum provides a platform for the sharing of issues and research in librarianship, as well as an opportunity for socializing and networking with others in the field.

This academic year, the Forum will be held on Friday, January 27th and will run from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The Forum will be located in Rutherford South at the University of Alberta, in the SLIS classrooms. The precise schedule is still being finalized, and will be posted as soon as it is available. The keynote speakers will be in the morning and afternoon and do not require registration to attend. The student presentations will not overlap with the keynotes. Registration for student sessions is necessary for us to assign rooms, but is not binding.

Please note that we are capping registration at 165 spots this year because of space constraints. Thus if you learn that you cannot make it in advance and need to cancel your registration, please let us know by accessing the contact us portion of this site, allowing for other potential registrants!
